I booked a flight from Brisbane to Hobart through Booking.com for the 13th and, right after paying, I realised the time was wrong. Within about five minutes of placing the booking, I called Booking.com customer service to fix this. They told me to contact Virgin, but when I spoke to Virgin, they said that because the ticket was booked through a third party, Booking.com had to handle it. Despite being told that Booking.com would call me back, no one has contacted me so far, and the issue has not been resolved. Because of this, and because I needed to attend a funeral, I had no choice but to rebook a flight for that same morning and pay an additional $596 out of my own pocket. My original Booking.com reservation reference is YBBIWM. I use Booking.com frequently, and I am very disappointed that I was left without help in such a sensitive situation. I request a full refund for the unusable original flight, and the additional $596 I had to pay to rebook, or an equivalent compensation, and I ask that this matter be urgently reviewed and resolved.
