I tried to reschedule my AirAsia flight ticket through Booking.com to a date 10 days later, and I encountered one of the worst booking systems I have ever experienced. Despite spending nearly 50 minutes repeatedly trying, they were unable to complete the ticket change.
Booking.com stated that no suitable flights were available and therefore they could not process the change. However, when I checked AirAsia’s official website for the same date, I could clearly see available flights. In other words, flights that are visible and bookable directly on AirAsia’s site could not be found in Booking.com’s system, which is why my request could not be completed. Eventually, I was forced to cancel the process altogether because no solution was provided.
I had already paid a commission to Booking.com when I originally purchased the ticket. Previously, when I inquired about changing another ticket, I was told that although my ticket price was approximately $230 USD, the change fee would be around $92 USD. Due to both the high commissions and excessive change fees, and the fact that Booking.com failed to process the ticket change when I urgently needed it, I experienced significant inconvenience.
I am extremely dissatisfied with Booking.com’s inability to properly display and manage AirAsia flights in their system, and with the fact that after spending so much time, my request still could not be completed. I am requesting that these issues be addressed, that my grievance be taken seriously, and that a clear explanation and solution be provided after a proper review.
