Joie Nitro LX Stroller Elbow Joint Breaks Twice Within Warranty Period

I purchased a Joie Nitro LX umbrella stroller in August 2023 from the ebebek store in Konya Kule City Mall. Even though it was expensive and stretched my budget, I chose it expecting high quality and long-lasting durability. However, I was only able to use the stroller for about 8 months total; despite this, the elbow joint broke after just 6 months.

Since it was under warranty, we sent it to technical service through ebebek around April–May 2024. The factory returned the stroller after installing a nut where a screw should have been. However, this modification was not a permanent solution, and in less than two months—around September 2024—the elbow joint broke again in the exact same spot. Despite the product being clearly defective, neither the store nor technical service offered a permanent fix, nor was a replacement or refund ever mentioned; instead, we were essentially brushed off.

In August 2025, hoping to make it usable for a bit longer, we went back to the store and requested another repair under warranty. They told us the warranty period had expired by just a few days and refused to help unless we paid for the repair ourselves. The company's complete refusal to take responsibility—despite failing to permanently resolve a defect that first occurred well within the warranty period—has left us thoroughly victimized.

Ultimately, we were only able to use the Joie Nitro LX stroller for about 8 months since purchasing it, yet it is as deteriorated as if it had been used for three years, proving that the brand fails to stand behind its defective products. Because a permanent solution was never provided during the warranty period and the chronic elbow joint defect persists, I demand that the stroller be classified as a defective product and that a free replacement or full refund be issued. Otherwise, I will escalate this matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee with all service reports and documentation.
