Store Refuses Return of Defective Play-Doh Toy Despite Valid Purchase Receipt
On May 31, 2016, I purchased a Play-Doh Donut Drop set for $39 from the Armağan Oyuncak store located in Maltepe Piazza Mall, Istanbul. When I set up the product the following day, I realized it was defective.
On June 2, 2016, I brought the product back to the store, spoke face-to-face with the store manager, and was told they would follow up with me regarding the issue. However, when we called the next day for an update, we were told that no action could be taken and that they could not help us. No resolution was offered, and I was left penalized as if the defect were my fault.
Despite possessing the purchase receipt for the product, I believe this attitude violates both consumer rights and customer satisfaction standards. I demand either a replacement for the defective product or a full refund of the $39 (1,349 TRY) paid for the item.
