I canceled my reservation with reference number 5952****56 through Booking.com on November 26. I paid a total of $51 USD using my debit card, and after canceling the reservation, I expected the refund to be issued back to the same card. However, even after approximately 20 days, no refund or transaction has appeared in my account.
When I contacted Booking.com about this issue, I received an email stating that no charge had been taken. However, the receipt I obtained from my bank clearly shows that the amount was charged to my card, and the transaction includes an authorization code of 278847. I also spoke with my bank again, and they explicitly confirmed that no refund transaction has been processed for this reservation.
Since there is clear proof that my payment was collected, including the receipt and authorization code, I request that the $51 USD paid for the canceled reservation be urgently refunded to the same debit card, and that the inconvenience I have experienced be resolved as soon as possible.
