Booking.com Ignored My Refund Request After Hotel Cancellation

I canceled my standard hotel reservation at Hotel Saint Pierre – Paris on October 7, 2025, 13 days ago, but the refund has still not been credited to my account. My confirmation number is 5289****19 and PIN code is 3052. The payment was made directly through Booking.com with my bank card.
After noticing the delay, I contacted Booking.com customer service, and I was told the issue was related to my bank. However, when I spoke with my bank, they confirmed that Booking.com initiated the process only as a “query” rather than a completed refund, which means the money was never transferred back to my account. My bank cannot process the refund because Booking.com hasn’t finalized the transaction.
I was also told that Booking.com would follow up via email, but I have not received any update or communication since then. In the past, refund requests were handled very quickly, and this is the first time I’ve experienced such a delay.
I am requesting that my payment be refunded immediately and that Booking.com provide a clear explanation of why the refund has not been processed after nearly two weeks.
