Booking.com Did Not Refund My Money After Hotel Reservation Hack
On August 16, 2025, I made a reservation through Booking at Hotel Marena in Paris. On August 17, 2025, at 16:33, I received an email stating that my credit card needed to be valid in order to complete the reservation. After updating my Mastercard details, 160 euros (₺8,072.62) was charged from my account in a single transaction. Shortly after, the hotel staff informed me that their page had been hacked and that they were experiencing some issues. When I contacted the hotel, they told me the reservation would be canceled and the fee refunded, but even after 8 hours, my money has not been returned. Despite messaging the hotel through Booking, I have received no response. My reservation was canceled, and I had free cancellation rights until October 13, 2025, at 23:59. My confirmation number is 6053527485. I urgently request that my payment be refunded to my card.
