Booking.com Car Rental Regret and High International Call Costs
I experienced significant issues with car rental booked through Booking.com. When I tried to contact customer service, the process was extremely frustrating. After numerous attempts to find the right contact page, I was redirected via email to a different address. Finding this new address felt like taking a course in navigation.
After another round of effort, I received contact numbers for international support. This means I'll have to pay additional charges for international calls on top of my existing expenses. I've never had complaints with Booking.com before, but the lack of a reachable phone number and unhelpful customer service have been both surprising and disappointing.
The customer service team is not addressing the issue, and their advice to "read the reservation details carefully" doesn't help with the problem at hand. I will avoid using Booking.com for car rentals in the future, as they are not reliable for resolving issues. Hotels might be less problematic, but if any issues arise, there’s no effective solution. It's best to hope there are no problems at all.
