I Demand Amazon Return Refund to Original Payment Instead of Gift Card
In March 2025, I accidentally ordered multiple stove timers on Amazon, and on April 3, 2025, I returned the extra 10 timers. When I called Amazon about the refund, I was told that I would receive a credit of approximately $559.83 for these returned items. Later, I learned that this amount was placed as an Amazon gift card balance instead of being refunded to my original payment method. I have not placed any new orders yet because I do not understand why I am not receiving my money back as a regular refund. I request that the full amount of approximately $559.83 for the returned timers be refunded to my original payment method instead of being kept as a gift card balance, or that I be clearly informed with a proper explanation if this is not possible.
