Amazon Did Not Refund My Returned Product

I recently requested a refund on Amazon, only to find out that they processed it as a gift card. Despite my insistence, they are forcibly holding onto my money in my Amazon account, even though I don't need it and haven't requested a refund to my credit card. Shockingly, they regretfully admitted that they can't refund the gift card amount, leaving me frustrated. What could be their reason? A refund should be the straightforward return of the money I paid them. It seems like they're manipulating funds by keeping them in their accounts, coercing customers to shop with them and preventing the money from being withdrawn. True customer satisfaction goes beyond the polite emails they send, as seen in the attached message. It's about instilling confidence, especially online, by assuring customers that their payments are secure.
