Amazon Defective Shredder Replacement Request

I bought an Amazon-branded shredder on Amazon in October 2025 for around $50. The shredder has a one‑year warranty, but it stopped working two days ago and is now completely defective. I have been trying to process a return through the Amazon website for replacement, but the system will not let me complete it. Over the last hour I have filled in the return information three separate times. Each time, when I click the final “continue” button, the page goes blank and then simply sends me back to “continue shopping” instead of creating a return or giving me any error message. There is no clear explanation on the site about why the return is not going through, so I am stuck with a defective product that is still under warranty. I also keep an email file with all my Amazon transaction emails. It currently shows my transactions from 2021 and this year, but everything between those dates and earlier than 2021 appears to have mysteriously disappeared. Because of this, I cannot easily access the order details for the shredder, and the combination of a malfunctioning return page and missing order information is making it impossible for me to use the warranty as intended. I tried contacting Amazon customer service by calling the listed phone number. The line picks up, states that the conversation will be recorded, pauses for about 10 seconds, and then I only get a busy signal. I have repeated this and have not been able to reach a representative at all. I request that Amazon provide a straightforward solution by honoring the one‑year warranty and sending me a replacement for the defective shredder. I also ask that the technical issue with the return process and the phone support be checked, and that assistance be given in restoring or making accessible the missing order information related to this purchase if needed to complete my return.
