I purchased a ViewSonic mini projector from Sok Market on May 14, 2023, and within the second month, it malfunctioned, refusing to hold a charge and experiencing shutdown issues during the third use. Upon contacting the Turkish warranty provider, KVK, at 216-451-9890, I faced a week of futile attempts with only music playing on the line. They claimed the other number listed on their site was for TV service only. After countless calls to Şok Market's customer service, spanning 1.5 months with no response, I filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board.
Six months later, I requested a refund based on the current price, but they decided to reimburse me at the rate I paid a year ago. Despite my prior complaint emails, the service asked me to send the product. In December 2023, I shipped it, and a week later, KVK service claimed a ₺4,739.87 expense due to alleged misuse, despite only three uses. I bought the device in May 2022 for ₺2,399, and as of December 2023, the current price was ₺6,950. Additionally, KVK stated in their tracking link that the warranty expired before the two-year mark, contradicting the purchase date of May 14, 2022. Despite the court order, Sok Market has not reached out to me yet. All supporting documents are attached.
