UPS Marked Package Undeliverable Without Ringing Doorbell
I would like to explain the issue I experienced with UPS Turkey. I purchased a pair of shoes from the Deichmann store at Maltepe Carrefour. On Saturday, February 7, when the package was delivered to the store, only the right shoe was available — the left shoe and the box were missing. They could not locate them. I was told the item would be shipped to my home instead, and I made the payment. The shipment was sent out on Monday.
Two delivery attempts were allegedly made, but it was marked as canceled because “the phone was not answered.” I called yesterday and spoke with the central customer service three times; a complaint record was created. I was told there was no direct phone number for the Tuzla branch. I specifically stated that I would pick it up from the branch myself, but no one came to my door and my doorbell was never rung. I was home all day. I am disabled, and no one attempted delivery.
I was told that the branch would review the complaint record and get back to me. However, I just checked and saw that the shipment is now being returned to the sender. Despite creating a complaint record, it appears that it was not reviewed or taken into consideration, and I have been left harmed. The shipment should not be returned to the sender without being properly held at the branch and allowing me the opportunity to receive it.
