My Ankara to Washington flight, TK187, experienced an unreasonable 130-minute delay during the Istanbul layover. We were informed about the delay, and the total waiting time exceeded 5 hours. When I approached the THY Care Point, they simply said there was nothing to be done and that we just had to wait. I suggested allowing us access to the lounge for some comfort, but they responded that they had no such policy. Yet, the airline continues to advertise itself as the best in the world. How good can Turkish Airlines really be if they leave their passengers waiting without reason?
