Turkish Airlines Unresonable Flight Delay

We took a transfer flight from Istanbul to Izmir from Turkish Airlines. It took off from Izmir with a 50-minute delay. When we landed in Istanbul, 3 adults ran with our children in our arms and caught the New York flight just as the door was closing. The New York flight was also 1 hour late. We landed late and because of this we were late for a dinner we were going to attend. Also, no delays, malfunctions, etc. were reported. I am complaining about this stress and loss. Either the ticket fee should be refunded or I will file a consumer rights lawsuit first in Türkiye and then internationally and receive compensation in kind.
