Turkish Airlines TK2704 Flight Issue with Medical Clearance
On July 21st, at 5:45 AM, we were three passengers on flight TK2704. One of us had undergone surgery two weeks prior and had received medical clearance to fly from their doctor. After scanning our tickets and just before boarding, we were informed that a doctor's note might be required. Without waiting for us to obtain the note, which we managed to get in five minutes, we were removed from the flight and standby passengers were quickly boarded. Turkish Airlines staff assured us that if we provided the medical note, they would definitely arrange seats for us on the next flight. However, they made us and our patient wait at the airport for hours, ultimately not accommodating us on any flight nor providing a refund or any assistance to our patient. The support desk issued a new ticket for only one of us, and it was not for our patient who had the clearance to fly. When we requested a correction, they refused. With a dismissive attitude, they brushed us off. Our patient was left stranded at the airport for 5-6 hours. Turkish Airlines took no responsibility whatsoever.
