Turkish Airlines Ticket Cancellation Due to Health Condition
On January 19, I had to cancel our trip from Istanbul to Miami due to my mother's severe illness. I informed Turkish Airlines about the situation. In their response email, they stated that the ticket could not be refunded under health conditions and only a gift voucher could be issued. The gift voucher is valid for two years, but my mother will not be able to travel during this period, so I called customer service. I spoke with someone from the file unit named Mr. F*****. He suggested that I submit feedback again for cancellation. I mentioned that other companies allow cancellations for severe health issues. I said, 'Your company is being unreasonable.' He threatened to end the call if I continued talking like that and then hung up on me. Despite sending all the reports and even getting a report from a specialist, the company thought commercially and left us in a difficult situation. Shame on them.
