I have been flying with Turkish Airlines for nearly 20 years, but my recent Business Class experience on TK0027 (Shanghai–Istanbul, 19 April 2026) was unacceptable. I redeemed 140,000 miles for seat 4J, yet after check-in I was told the seat was defective. Its electronic recline did not work, and I had to rely on cabin crew for adjustments throughout the 11-hour flight, making rest nearly impossible. I was asked to sign a waiver form limiting the airline’s responsibility, which I refused. I was only informed about changing flights after departure, making it meaningless. Despite clear evidence and multiple complaints, I was offered just 9,000 miles. This does not reflect the value of what I paid or the inconvenience I experienced. I expect either a full refund of my miles or a replacement Business Class ticket.
