I was a Business Class passenger in seat 4A on THY flight TK0603 from Darussalam. They informed me that the seat was faulty and asked me to move to seat 4B. When the passenger for seat 4B arrived, they tried to squeeze me out. For a ticket that cost approximately ₺70,000, they wanted me to sign a paper to sit in a faulty seat. When the cabin supervisor opposed the ground services, this option was discarded, and a different ground service agent told me I had to travel in economy class or get off the plane. They again handed me a paper to sign, which I refused. I ended up traveling in economy class. Later, the cabin supervisor came to me and handed me a piece of paper with an apology, stating that they were embarrassed by my situation and couldn't give this paper to anyone else. They assured me that I would be contacted, the issue would be resolved, and I would receive €700 in compensation. Offering ₺24,000 in compensation for a ₺70,000 ticket is quite laughable, but their minds are collectively fried, and it's beyond repair. Anyway, the next day, miles were credited. And what did I see? Only 844 miles were credited. That's another issue. We have opened a record and are waiting for a call. When I return to Istanbul, I plan to consult a lawyer to learn about my rights and consider filing a lawsuit. I recorded everything on video, and I am sure this record will strengthen my case.
