Turkish Airlines Rescheduled My Flight and I Experienced Inconvenience Due to It
I live in Canada and had meticulously planned a two-week trip to Turkey with my spouse in November, including booking a flight from Istanbul to Isparta. One morning, I received a notification from THY about a flight schedule change. The flight was moved from noon to midnight, disrupting all our plans. In my groggy state, I accidentally clicked the red 'confirm' button instead of exploring other options like 'cancel' or 'change,' which were not highlighted clearly. I thought I was merely acknowledging the notification, but I ended up unintentionally confirming the flight change.
As a result, my meticulously planned flight was canceled and rescheduled to an inconvenient time. Now, I can't change the flight or get a full refund. Despite paying around ₺1800, I am only being refunded ₺170-₺180, which is quite surprising.
In summary, as you can tell from my lengthy complaint, I am extremely disappointed. I contacted THY to request a refund, but my request was directly denied. I have traveled with THY many times and was generally satisfied, but after this experience, I will avoid choosing THY unless absolutely necessary.
