Turkish Airlines Pet Reservation Issue with Booking Codes 'wbuiww' and 'wfhnvb'
I made a reservation for my disabled spouse with the booking code 'wbuiww' (PNR) and for myself with the booking code 'wfhnvb' (PNR) to lock in the price for three days. I now have only four hours left to complete my reservation. While making the reservation, I received a message stating that 'Additional Services' could be selected during ticketing. However, when I try to complete the ticketing now, I am not allowed to bring my pet in the cabin. We specifically chose a flight with minimal layovers to ensure our pet would not suffer during the journey. If our pet is not allowed, there is no point in traveling. According to the information I received from the call center, the amount I paid for the reservation will be forfeited. I paid a total of ₺745 twice. This situation is clearly unfair. I am requesting either a spot for my pet in the cabin on the selected flight or the option to choose another flight without any additional charges, ensuring that the amount I paid for the reservation is not lost.
When a reservation is made for a ticket, it is clearly stated that "If you make a reservation with the 'Fix the Price' option, you can select the additional services you requested when purchasing your ticket." I was going to purchase an extra 30 kg baggage allowance and pay for my budgerigar that I had to carry in the cabin. However, when I proceeded to purchase the ticket, there was no space for the bird in the cabin, and thus I was not able to benefit from this additional service. Consequently, my reservation fees were forfeited last night without me being able to purchase the tickets. More importantly, in the section "I have read and accept the terms and conditions related to the Price Fixing process," it is again clearly stated that "Additional services such as paid seat selection, extra baggage request, etc. can only be purchased after ticketing. It is not possible to purchase these products during the reservation." So, I am not even allowed to notify that I will be taking my bird with me. This situation is definitely the fault of Turkish Airlines, a system error, and it is clearly evident that it is not stated in the rules.
