Turkish Airlines Luggage Damage and Resulting Inconvenience
On 08.07.2023, my wife traveled from Mus to Istanbul with THY, accompanied by our 1-year-old baby. After waiting for approximately 1 hour for her luggage in Istanbul, she finally received it and, due to the rush and stress, we went straight home without checking the bags. When we arrived home, we noticed that the large suitcase we had bought just a month ago was unfortunately broken at the wheel. We immediately contacted THY customer service and were instructed to create a damaged baggage report online within 7 days. We registered and uploaded all the necessary photos and documents, but unfortunately, we received an email yesterday stating that our application was canceled because we did not file a report at the airport before leaving. We will follow up on this issue and will apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and also file a complaint with CIMER as soon as possible. THY is causing us inconvenience. I want our inconvenience to be resolved.
