Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage and Offered Unfair Compensation

After a trip I took with Turkish Airlines in March 2023, I received my luggage at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport with a broken wheel. Since I had watched a few videos on the subject before, I went and filed a damage report before leaving the airport. Three weeks later, I urgently needed a bag as I had to go abroad again, so I called Turkish Airlines several times to inquire whether they would send me a bag or compensate me. Since I could not get a clear answer for a long time, I went ahead and bought the same bag for 1300 liras. I even sent a photo of the relevant price tag to THY. After a lengthy evaluation, THY decided that I deserved compensation of 910 liras. I requested that THY purchase the same suitcase and send it to me along with the invoice, as I had spent an extra 400 liras out of my pocket for no reason, and I did not accept the compensation amount. THY refused this offer and also rejected my objection to the compensation amount, asserting their decisions as unquestionable. I then appealed to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, which had six months to evaluate and decide on the matter. Just before the deadline, the Consumer Arbitration Committee announced its decision, which, as expected, rejected my appeal, just as I had written to THY before. The same suitcase is now being sold in stores for around 1500 TL. I purchased it six months ago for 1300 TL. The compensation to be given to me is only 910 TL. Why should I pay for the suitcase that THY broke?
