Turkish Airlines Lost My Baggage and Sent It Back After Days
After my TK1876 Milan-Istanbul flight, my suitcase did not come out of the plane, and I could only retrieve it 2 days later. My car keys were in my luggage, so I had to take a taxi to my home in Atasehir and then take another taxi back to Istanbul Airport to get my car. I ended up paying for an extra day of parking for no reason. THY has a very slow baggage tracking system, and they could not provide clear information on when my suitcase would arrive. After my own research and numerous calls, I found out that it would arrive in 2 days and went back to the airport. When I went to retrieve my suitcase, it was difficult to find their help desk (lost baggage), and the staff were unhelpful. They treated me as if I had lost my suitcase and it was my fault. After about a month of investigation by THY, my compensation claim was denied, stating they only cover urgent needs. Overall, customer satisfaction is at an all-time low, and there is zero empathy. Throughout the entire process, no one apologized or admitted their mistake. I do not forgive them. No one has the right to mismanage such a prestigious company and victimize people like me!
