Turkish Airlines Lost My Luggage and Provided Poor Support
I purchased a direct flight from THY from Ankara to Edremit. They canceled the flight. Since we had already made arrangements for the hotel, car rental, etc., we had to switch to another flight with a layover in Istanbul. There was very little time between the connecting flights. Everyone on the same connecting flight with us said that the luggage wouldn't make it in such a short time, but THY, which had already taken the money upfront, didn't care. As a result, when we landed in Edremit, THY said that 10 pieces of luggage were lost. We came for a 2-day vacation, and we had no money, clothes, or anything with us. Customer service does not provide any information on when the issue will be resolved. Therefore, our 2-day vacation, hotel, car rental, and time were all wasted. We are waiting all day at the airport in uncertainty, and THY is taking no action on this matter. Customer service explicitly said, 'This is Turkey; solutions don't come quickly here.' Celebi employees said that this problem happens every day, the time between the connecting flights is too short, and people have been waiting for their luggage since yesterday. In short, THY knowingly ruined the vacation of people who came for just 2 days and there is no solution in sight.
