Turkish Airlines Lost My Baggage
Hello, on 25.08.2023, during my journey from Van Airport to Istanbul Airport, two suitcases were misplaced. My hand luggage did not pass the final check. The security at the airport did not allow it on the plane, stating that they would send it themselves. It was later discovered that the baggage containing my belongings in a box was not sent on the plane from Van Airport. When I called the lost property office, they informed me that my cargo was there and I could collect it. Despite this confirmation, when I went to collect it, they told me that my cargo had been destroyed. I want legal action to be taken against the person responsible for this. People's belongings were inspected without permission at Van Ferit Melen Airport under the pretext that the cargo would be sent but wasn't. No official report was made regarding this incident. I request that the necessary actions be taken. I expect a prompt response. If no response is received, I will file a complaint with the THY general management. Additionally, I will file a complaint to sue the responsible person for the incident that occurred on 25.08.2023 between 19:30 hours. It is not acceptable to inconvenience people by handling their belongings in this manner.
