I Face Citroen Berlingo Airbag, Brake, And Oil Leak Problems At Only 5,700 KM
I purchased a brand-new 2024 Citroen Berlingo from the Citroen Erdemir dealership. After only a very short period of use, the vehicle began developing serious problems that are extremely concerning from a safety standpoint. My vehicle currently has approximately 5,700 kilometers on it.
After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed oil leaks in the mechanical components and a metal grinding noise when starting the engine. In addition, warning messages began appearing on the instrument panel stating “airbag or seat belt pretensioner fault” and “post-collision braking system fault.” These warnings involve critical safety systems and directly raise concerns about the safety of both me and my passengers.
The vehicle’s main instrument/multimedia display also shuts off by itself while I am driving and turns into a black screen. This prevents me from accessing important vehicle information and data during use.
Experiencing these types of failures in a vehicle with such low mileage, especially problems involving critical systems such as the brakes and airbags, makes me believe that the vehicle has serious manufacturing defects and should be considered a defective product.
Under my consumer rights provided by Turkey’s Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection, I request that my vehicle be replaced with a brand-new, defect-free, and fully functional vehicle. If a replacement cannot be provided, I request a full refund of the purchase price.
I do not want to continue using a vehicle with serious safety risks simply after repairs are performed. I request that the necessary procedures for a defective product be initiated immediately, with priority given to my vehicle replacement request, and that Citroen contact me as soon as possible to resolve my situation.
