Turkish Airlines Lost Baggage Issue on Istanbul-Adana Flight
On May 4, 2023, my mother's suitcase was lost during the Istanbul-Adana flight. She handed over the suitcase in Istanbul, but it did not arrive in Adana. Despite having a luggage tag, I can't understand how a reputable company like Turkish Airlines could lose a suitcase. When we repeatedly contacted customer service, they just said they sent an email and brushed us off. At 12:20 PM on May 4, 2023, the check-in staff at Istanbul Airport took the suitcase and said, 'I hope I didn't make a mistake.' Is Turkish Airlines employing inexperienced staff? We are also complaining about the staff who checked in the luggage at that time. They couldn't even confirm if the suitcase was loaded onto the plane. The financial and emotional damage we have suffered is immeasurable. We find it quite strange that a company we consider the pride of our country operates in this manner. Can we not trust Turkish Airlines? After 21 days, we still had no information about the suitcase and were directed to the compensation department. The amount offered by the compensation department is laughable and does not cover my mother's financial loss. We demand that our financial and emotional damages be compensated. We want our issue resolved as soon as possible.
