Turkish Airlines Honeymoon Check-In Issue

We are a honeymoon couple. This morning, we arrived at Istanbul airport feeling happy and excited. We got to the airport early for our 7:55 AM flight to Ercan Airport in Cyprus. When we went to check in, Turkish Airlines staff kept directing us to different gates, and we had to wait in line at each one. Just as we reached a staff member, they would send us to another gate. Although the ticket states that boarding ends 20 minutes before the flight, we were told at 7:20 AM, 35 minutes before the flight, that we could not board. Despite all our efforts, we were denied boarding 35 minutes before the flight. What upset me the most were my spouse's tears. To avoid losing our hotel reservation in Cyprus, we bought tickets for the 2:00 PM flight for ₺13,280. In a country where the minimum wage is so high, I cannot forgive Turkish Airlines for the cost and the distress they caused us on our honeymoon.
