I Experienced Inconvenience Due to the Flight Cancellation of Turkish Airlines
Hey, on the night of October 28, 2023, the Cyprus flight got canceled for no reason. When we called customer service, they said we should go to the airport and try to get standby tickets for different flights. We traveled from Tekirdağ to the airport, waited for 5 hours, and at 06:50, the staff told us that there were two empty seats on the flight. We got our tickets, but when we got to the gate, even though it was 6:35, they didn't let us on the plane. They told us to wait for the next flight. Even though there were 17 empty seats on the 4:30 PM flight, they still didn't let us on. We got stuck at the airport for 18 hours and ended up spending more than 2000 TL on food and water. Even though we were supposed to be given a hotel stay with meals covered, Turkish Airlines didn't inform us, treated us very rudely, and completely ignored our needs. Their terrible service caused us a lot of stress, both mentally and financially. We want them to make up for our losses and fix the situation.
