Turkish Airlines Denied Boarding Despite Arriving on Time
On Saturday, September 27th, I checked in at the airport at 3:00 PM for my Istanbul-Kahramanmaraş flight at 5:45 PM and received my boarding pass. The gate was announced at 4:20 PM, and despite arriving at the gate at 5:23 PM, I received no assistance whatsoever, and was denied boarding. I could see the plane from the gate, but was told "the plane had taken off." However, our luggage had already been loaded onto the plane, and despite being told "you have 2 minutes," we were denied boarding. Instead, they sorted our luggage and boarded the plane approximately 10 minutes late. Despite reaching the plane right in front of us within the legal timeframe, we were subjected to false and misleading information. We contacted the support team during this process, but were told we needed to purchase new tickets to avoid wasting time, and they offered no assistance. As a result, we were forced to purchase new tickets, paying a significant difference of ₺10,500. I also paid approximately ₺2,200 for additional baggage allowance. My ticket information: SF2PEH. I've never experienced this kind of problem with Turkish Airlines before. This experience has caused me both financial and emotional distress. I request a refund of my ticket price, the amount I paid for extra baggage, and the difference I paid for the new ticket. I expect this inconvenience to be resolved as soon as possible.
