Turkish Airlines - Flight Delays and Reimbursement Issues
I bought tickets from Turkish Airlines on July 10, 2023, for two people. Our flight, scheduled for 16:55, faced cancellations, delays, and ticket changes, resulting in a 14-hour journey to our destination. During these delays, we contacted Turkish Airlines, and they informed us that the flight to Rize was canceled and offered an alternative flight to Trabzon. We asked how we would get from Trabzon to Rize. They assured us that all expenses would be reimbursed if we sent the receipts and invoices. It's been a month now. During this time, I have opened 12 records and had 20 conversations. Each time, one representative said they couldn't see the invoices, while another said they could. Now, a month later, I have received the same email 15 times asking for the receipts and invoices. It seems Turkish Airlines is avoiding reimbursing these expenses. They extended our 1.5-hour journey to 14 hours, causing us inconvenience, and now they are stalling for a month. They claim they can't see the invoices or provide other excuses. I uploaded the receipts and invoices with a representative and confirmed multiple times with others. Supposedly, a responsible person was going to call me regarding my complaint, but no one has contacted me. It's really disappointing to see the state of Turkish Airlines.
Today, Turkish Airlines responded by saying they are giving me two vouchers worth 199 TL each for my 1700 TL expenditure! A company that can't even cover 1700 TL. They told me to send them my expenses and that they would cover them, but after making me incur these expenses, this is what they do. A 1.5-hour journey took 14 hours, and on top of that, they told me to make my expenses while waiting, saying they would cover them, and now they are only giving me two vouchers worth 199 TL each. And these vouchers are only for use with them. You are really funny.
