Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation Issue Due to Earthquake in Morocco

We purchased round-trip plane tickets for two people to Marrakech for September 21, 2023. However, on the morning of September 9, 2023, we learned that there was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Marrakech, Morocco. My friend is from Antakya and a survivor of an earthquake. In this situation, we decided that we could not go to Morocco. We called THY customer service and requested a cancellation and refund due to force majeure. They informed us that they would not do it. Who can go on vacation to Morocco in this situation? We paid ₺35,000 for the tickets, and they are saying our tickets are non-refundable. We are not canceling for fun; we wouldn't have paid ₺35,000 for tickets we intended to cancel. We wouldn't have requested the cancellation one day after the earthquake. THY is not acting in accordance with its reputation. We want our refund. Otherwise, I will file a complaint with CIMER, the Consumer Arbitration Committee, and if necessary, I will take legal action.
