During a flight, I experienced seven different issues and, despite having health problems, my pre-selected seat was changed without notice. My power bank was stolen, my suitcase was opened and carelessly repacked, damaging my belongings. The flight was delayed by 1 hour and 45 minutes, and I was placed in an older plane with a cargo-like, windowless area. They dropped off a visually impaired passenger in the dark, leaving them to find their own way to another city, forcing them to beg for a bus seat. Despite requesting a report, they treated Arabs as first-class and Turks as second-class citizens. After two complaints, they dismissed my power bank as a fragile electronic item that needed to be registered before the flight, mocking my situation by offering a glass of water. Turkish Airlines has become an inconsiderate company with uncooperative staff.
If you have valuable items, do not fly with Turkish Airlines. Their response is below.
Based on our review of your feedback, we see that you carried fragile or perishable items/electronic devices in your luggage. Since such items should not be in checked baggage, we regret to inform you that we cannot approve your compensation request.
According to the general conditions of passenger and baggage transport, cash, jewelry, valuable documents, electronic devices, and fragile or perishable items should not be in checked baggage. If any of these items are lost or damaged, the responsibility lies entirely with you. Therefore, in such adverse situations, airlines are not obligated to pay compensation.
Thank you for your understanding.
