Turkish Airlines Does Not Cover Baggage Theft!
I had a flight experience with Turkish Airlines that included seven separate problems, leaving me with health issues. Despite booking my ticket two months in advance with a seat number, they changed my seat without notice. Someone stole my power bank during the flight. They handled my luggage so carelessly that they broke a vase, and when repacking, they did a sloppy and haphazard job, damaging my belongings. They caused a 1-hour and 45-minute delay, switched us to an older plane without windows, and treated me, a visually impaired passenger, with utter disregard, leaving me to find my own way in the dark upon arrival. To make matters worse, they treated Turkish passengers as second-class compared to Arabs, and despite multiple complaints, they refused to take responsibility or provide compensation, classifying my power bank and electronics as items that should not be in checked baggage. Turkish Airlines has become a company that disregards disputes and employs unapologetic staff. Avoid flying with them if you have valuable items. Their response to my complaint is below: "Based on our investigation following your feedback, we observe that you carried breakable or delicate items/electronic devices in your checked baggage. According to the general terms and conditions of passenger and baggage transport, your checked baggage should not include cash, jewelry, valuable documents, electronic devices, or breakable and delicate items. If one of these items is in your checked baggage, and if any of them are lost or damaged, the responsibility lies entirely with you. Therefore, airlines are not obligated to pay compensation in such cases. We appreciate your understanding.''
