Turkish Airlines Lost Baggage with Missing Tablet
I have been traveling with Turkish Airlines for years. On 06/04/2024, I arrived in Istanbul from America. I had three suitcases; two tablets were in one suitcase, and one tablet was in my pink suitcase. When I got home and unpacked, I noticed that the tablet in the pink suitcase was missing along with its bag. I contacted Turkish Airlines Customer Service, and the representative informed me that I would receive feedback from Baggage Services within seven days. On 07/03/2024, I submitted my passport, flight details, baggage tag copy, and the tablet's invoice and receipt. However, in their response dated 19/03/2024, Turkish Airlines stated that valuable items should not be carried in checked baggage and that they have no responsibility or obligation for compensation according to the general terms of passenger and baggage transport. I believe the investigation and response provided by Turkish Airlines were insufficient. We were not informed that valuable items should not be carried in checked baggage. If we had been informed, we would have carried these items in our hand luggage or been advised to deliver them to a relative. There was no information sheet in my suitcase either. I believe my suitcase was tampered with, and my tablet was taken. I request the necessary actions to address my grievance.
