Turkish Airlines Denied Me to Board and I Experienced Inconvenience Due to the Unprofessional Staff Behavior
My spouse purchased a ticket for the Kars to Istanbul flight scheduled for 01.10.2023 at 11:20. After presenting their ID and completing the check-in process at Kars Harakani Airport, they received their ticket and began waiting for the flight. When the boarding time arrived, the gate agent informed my spouse that the ticket was not issued in their name and denied boarding. After discussing the issue with the ticketing staff, they admitted to an error and suggested rescheduling the flight for Tuesday, which my spouse declined, stating the need to travel that day due to work commitments. Consequently, they were given a ticket for a flight with a layover in Ankara. Instead of the 11:20 Kars to Istanbul flight, my spouse boarded the 4:20 flight to Ankara. Despite my spouse's hours of distress and crying at the airport, no responsible or authorized personnel offered assistance. When my spouse pleaded for help, stating it was their mistake and threatening to file a complaint, the staff responded indifferently, saying they could complain wherever they wished.
