THY Flight Missed Due to Incorrect Announcements
Hello, I had a flight with THY from Ordu Giresun Airport to Istanbul Airport on 25.07.2024 at 11:00. I arrived at the airport at 09:00 and checked in two hours earlier. I proceeded to the gate and waited, but due to several incorrect announcements by the airport, I missed my flight. When I informed the staff, they said the gates were closed and acknowledged the announcement error, but offered no assistance, forcing me to buy another ticket. A passenger who has checked in should have their name announced. I am a special passenger (disabled), and in such situations, extra care and customer satisfaction should be provided, but nothing was done, and I had to buy another ticket. Due to the airport's incorrect announcements, I ended up purchasing two separate tickets, causing financial and emotional distress. I did not expect this from THY. Special passengers should always receive support and assistance. We waited here all morning without even hearing the flight announcement due to your incorrect announcements. This is truly disappointing. I urgently expect a refund from THY and immediate information and assistance.
