Turkish Airlines Denied Me to Board

I checked in 24 hours in advance for the THY Kahramanmaraş to Istanbul flight on 11.12.2023 at 16:40. We struggled to reach the airport due to weather conditions and entered the terminal building at 16:10. Despite having no transfer or luggage, we were told that the counter was closed and were disembarked from the flight. Additionally, since we had a patient, we were forced to buy a ticket from Gaziantep, costing us an additional ₺3376. Why does that happen if THY is supposed to bring people together and support patients? The Kahramanmaraş team did not help citizens in distress at all. As someone from Kahramanmaraş and an earthquake survivor, I did not expect such behavior from a national and international airline like THY. I at least expected assistance with ticket changes.

We were not allowed to board the plane and no assistance was provided in any way. The counter closed 5 minutes early and no help was given. The cost amounted to approximately 4200 TL, including 3376+500 TL for transportation to Gaziantep Airport and 300 TL for Havaist in Istanbul due to the lack of buses. All this effort and fuel were wasted, which is a national asset. Such a situation is absolutely unbecoming of a company like THY, which is also a national asset. :((
