Turkish Airlines Delayed the Flight and So I Missed Connecting Flight

On 22-01-2024, I was on the THY flight TK2807 from Samsun to Istanbul, scheduled to depart at 09:35. Due to an altercation between two passengers on board, which resulted in the police detaining one of them, the flight was delayed by 35 minutes. Despite informing the cabin crew about my connecting flight to Muş (TK2692 at 12:15) upon arrival in Istanbul, no action was taken, causing me to miss my connection. Although the airline offered to arrange a hotel stay and a flight the next day at 12:00, time is more valuable to me. Traveling to and from the hotel with my daughter in this season is not practical. Another option provided was to fly to Van and then arrange my own transfer to Muş, which is a 3-hour journey. Reluctantly, I changed our tickets to flight TK2754. We have been traveling since 6 AM and are now spending time at the airport with no assistance offered for food or basic needs. We had to spend our own money for the transfer from Van to Muş. Our short trip during the school holidays has been ruined by THY's inability to manage a simple situation. The incident in Samsun was not our fault, yet we waited for 35 minutes. Should we have caused a scene to make the Istanbul flight wait for us? I expect compensation for our inconvenience and await a phone call. I will also share this complaint on social platforms until it is addressed. Thank you.
