Turkish Airlines Changed My Paid Emergency Exit Seat Last Minute
On today’s Istanbul–Berlin flight, despite completing my check-in in advance, my emergency exit window seat—purchased for an additional fee—was changed at the last minute due to “operational reasons.” I have faced the same issue on my last three flights as well. I specifically paid ₺1,636 for the emergency exit seat using my card, yet my seat was changed, and when I called customer service, they mentioned a system error but offered no solution. I don’t understand why extra fees are charged and emergency exit seats are shown as available if they will be reassigned at the last moment. This situation causes both financial and emotional distress. I expect Turkish Airlines to resolve this recurring issue systemically, provide an explanation, and refund the fees I paid.
