Turkish Airlines Cancelled Flight - Refund Not Credited To Card
I am experiencing a serious grievance regarding my flight with PNR number TAZG2U, which I purchased via Turkish Airlines’ TKPay system and subsequently cancelled. On 02.03.2026 I cancelled this flight, and after the deduction the amount to be refunded appeared as ₺708,140.18. Following this transaction, an instruction was issued for ₺709,894 to be refunded to my credit card, and I received a confirmation e‑mail regarding this, which I still have. However, although three days have passed since then, this amount has not been refunded to my credit card, and neither customer service nor any Turkish Airlines representative has been able to clearly explain where the money is. It seems as if the money has disappeared, and this uncertainty is causing me serious hardship. I would also like to purchase a new flight ticket, but since the amount that should have been refunded has not been credited to my card, I am unable to buy a new ticket. Due to the ongoing war, ticket prices are increasing every day, so I both cannot use my own money and I am experiencing additional financial loss because of the rising prices. Although I have been travelling with Turkish Airlines for many years, I am neither given a clear explanation about the fate of my money nor offered a satisfactory solution. I request a clear explanation as to why the amount of ₺709,894 for my cancelled flight has still not been credited to my card, that this amount be refunded to me immediately and in full, and that the grievance I have experienced be remedied. Otherwise, I would like to state explicitly that I will resort to legal channels regarding this matter.
The value that Turkish Airlines, a giant, gives to its guest. Not even a response was given to this. It's now a matter for the consumer arbitration board. I will do whatever is legally required.
You say the current refund has been completed, but where was the ₺709,845 sent? I have not received any amount regarding this. I also contacted my bank, and they stated that there is no pending or incoming transfer. I expect a clear explanation on this matter. Where has this money been for days?
