Our national pride, Turkish Airlines, doesn't even want to provide water anymore. On May 24, I traveled on the 20:50 Dalaman-Istanbul flight with a business class ticket. As we were approaching Kocaeli, I asked a female flight attendant in the business section for water. She said they would bring it immediately, but no one brought any water.
Then, I pressed the button again to call the cabin crew. This time, a male flight attendant came. I asked him for water as well. He said, 'Sir, we are descending for landing now, we cannot provide water.' I have been flying for years, I am an Elite Plus member with Turkish Airlines, and I bought a business class ticket by paying a premium.
Is it so necessary to make a profit from a single bottle of water? Turkish Airlines has increasingly become focused on personnel issues and making money even from water. I am very sad, unfortunately, they have become a monopoly, and we have no alternative. I experienced this during my business travel, and believe me, it is very embarrassing. They do not deserve the money paid.
