On February 19, 2024, I traveled from Istanbul Airport to Antalya Airport on flight TK2422.
I have chosen Turkish Airlines hundreds of times and have never complained about the staff before, often overlooking minor issues.
However, after today's incident, I urge you to take this complaint seriously.
Shortly after takeoff, around 14:00, sandwiches were being served. At 14:10, they reached my seat for service, but they had brought the sandwich two minutes earlier.
Note: Since the plane was empty, I moved to row 15F, and there were no other passengers in the entire row.
Because they brought the sandwich earlier, I asked for water as I needed to take a painkiller. They said okay but continued serving sandwiches.
When the service cart reached my row, they skipped my seat and moved to the row ahead. I called out, but they didn't turn back. It's impossible they didn't hear me because even the tourists in the front row turned and laughed!
I can't describe the embarrassment I felt just for asking for a drink!
After the service was over, when they returned, I asked why I wasn't offered water or a drink and why they didn't give me water despite saying they would. The response was, "We must have missed it, it happens, I'll give it now."
Not only did they not give me the water I asked for five minutes earlier, but I wasn't even offered a drink during the service. Of course, I returned the sandwich without touching it, and they threw it away without any apology.
Maybe from my name or phone number, you can see how often I fly with Turkish Airlines and that I have never complained before.
However, I cannot accept this disrespect and am filing this complaint.
During the service, one male and two female staff members were distributing, and I am only complaining about the female staff.
I repeat; the issue is not the sandwich or the drink, but the humiliating and disrespectful behavior of your staff towards a passenger! I don't consider myself an egoistic person, but you can be sure I will share this on all necessary platforms and will make every effort to avoid and discourage others from traveling with Turkish Airlines whenever possible.
