Turkish Airlines Denied a Glass of Water

Hello, on 18.04.2024, I traveled from Izmir to Istanbul on the 19:00 THY flight. I was seated in seat 16. The flight attendant started the snack service from the front, and passengers had special requests for sandwiches. The flight attendant kept looking back at her colleague who was serving from the rear, but they couldn't make eye contact. Eventually, another flight attendant resolved the issue, and the passengers received their requested sandwiches. However, when the attendants reached my seat, they gave us sandwiches but did not offer any drinks. I wasn't feeling well and was coughing, my throat was dry, and I needed to drink water. I informed the attendant that no drink service had been provided. She apologized and said she would take care of it immediately, but five minutes later, an announcement was made that they couldn't serve drinks because we were descending. I regretted asking for water and felt embarrassed. They take away our drinks when we board the plane, and then they don't provide water during the flight. I coughed all the way. Someone else might have caused a scene. Additionally, the inconvenience felt for the passengers in the front to get their sandwiches wasn't even a fraction of what I felt for not getting water. As I disembarked, I returned the sandwiches and said I couldn't eat them with a dry throat. I told them they denied me a glass of water. They sarcastically said, 'You should have told us, we would have brought it,' as if I had asked someone else for water. It seems I needed to be on the brink of death to get water. It's sad to see the service sector in such a state. THY
