Overbooking And Denied Boarding at Turkish Airlines
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I received during my recent attempt to fly with Turkish Airlines. On 27.08.2023, I had a confirmed reservation for Flight TK1919 from [Departure Istanbul to Geneva. However, I was subjected to a situation that left me not only inconvenienced but also deeply dissatisfied with the service provided. Upon arriving at the airport, I was informed that the flight was overbooked, and as a result, I was put on standby. This was completely unexpected and unacceptable, especially considering that I had a confirmed reservation well in advance. I believe that it is the responsibility of Turkish Airlines to ensure that all passengers with confirmed reservations are able to board their flights without any disruptions. Furthermore, I was ultimately denied boarding, leaving me stranded at the airport and causing significant inconvenience to my travel plans. This situation not only resulted in a waste of my time and money but also caused undue stress and frustration. I request that Turkish Airlines take immediate action to rectify this situation. I expect a full refund for my ticket as well as any additional expenses incurred as a result of this incident.
