No Public Night Transportation from Taksim to Istanbul Airports

In a metropolis like Istanbul with a population of nearly 20 million, there is no public transportation between Taksim and Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen Airport during weekday nights between 00:30 and 03:30. In the past, for about 20–25 years, Havaş buses departed every half hour from Taksim to the airports, but after the switch to Havabüs in recent years, these night services were completely removed. This creates major hardship in terms of both cost and accessibility, as taxis remain the only option. In a city of this scale, leaving airport transportation solely to taxis at night is unacceptable. Just as in many other major cities around the world, I demand that Istanbul reinstate regular overnight airport shuttle services as before. As the institution responsible for awarding and overseeing the service, I expect Turkish Airlines to provide a solution that does not force Istanbul residents to rely only on taxis. Rather than holding the municipality accountable, we want to see the return of regular overnight airport shuttle services, just as they once were.
