Our complaint to Turkish Airlines is as follows:
On January 21, 2024, our flight TK2429 from Antalya to Istanbul did not depart on time, causing us to miss our connecting flights TK179 (IST-LAX) and AS708 (LAX-LAS). We approached the Turkish Airlines office at Istanbul Airport, but they informed us that there were no available seats on the next and following day for LAX flights. They could only offer us seats on TK79 (SFO) at 13:50, and we would have to arrange our transportation from SFO to LAS. As we were attending a trade show in Las Vegas, we urgently needed to get there. Reluctantly, we accepted this flight. We specifically reminded them of the rule: "Return flights are canceled if the outbound flight is not taken." Despite our repeated reminders, we were assured there would be no issues. However, on January 27, 2024, when we attempted to return, we were denied boarding on AS703 (LAS-LAX) due to a lack of reservation. We spent hours trying to reach Turkish Airlines customer service. They informed us there were no seats on the LAS-LAX flight and rescheduled our LAX-IST flight for the next available service. We had to arrange our own LAS-LAX flight and eventually reached Istanbul, albeit late. While the emotional distress we experienced cannot be compensated, our expenses for the SFO-LAS and LAS-LAX flights are attached along with our boarding passes. We request reimbursement for these expenses.
The response from Turkish Airlines is as follows:

Due to operational reasons beyond our control, flight TK2429 from Antalya to Istanbul on January 21, 2024, experienced a 45-minute delay and an additional 13-minute delay, resulting in your missed connection. Your journey was completed with flight TK79 from Istanbul to San Francisco. Please share your expense receipts on our feedback page by selecting the "Previous Feedback" option. We will review and assist you after evaluating your receipts. Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that expenses incurred at the destination station cannot be reimbursed. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you on future flights.
