For the October 2nd TK2410 08:30 Antalya flight:
- At 04:35, a message was received stating that due to force majeure/operational reasons, the flight would be delayed by 1 hour.
- At 08:35, another message was received stating that the departure time was rescheduled to 10:30.
- At 10:10, a message was received stating that the flight was canceled due to operational reasons.
During these events, only one person at Istanbul Airport attempted to provide an explanation, stating that they were trying to arrange another flight. However, no alternative flight was arranged. Passengers with children and elderly passengers were transferred to another Antalya flight that was about to depart. The remaining passengers were escorted to the Ticket Management section within the airport, which took about 10-15 minutes on foot. Upon arrival, we encountered a chaotic situation. We joined the queue with passengers from other canceled flights, but no solution was provided. Through our own efforts, we managed to change our tickets and found seats on the earliest available flight at 15:25. During this time, THY did not provide any food or even a glass of water. To avoid going hungry for hours at the airport, we had to purchase food.
Attached are our credit card statements showing the food expenses (₺224 + ₺225 = ₺449). Most importantly, the first day of our hotel stay in Antalya, which we had booked for our vacation, was wasted. We checked into the hotel at 19:00. The hotel reservation form is attached, showing that we paid ₺19,694.50 for 5 days. One day of our vacation was lost due to THY's flight cancellation. ₺19,694.50 / 5 = ₺3,938.90.
Therefore, I kindly request the reimbursement of ₺449 + ₺3,938.90 = ₺4,387.90 for our expenses.
