I purchased a ticket from Turkish Airlines for the Sivas-Istanbul flight on 17.09.2023 at 10:50. On the day of the flight, there was a 20-minute delay before boarding and a 40-minute delay after. After about an hour, the flight was canceled due to what they called a 'force majeure' without providing any specific reason. Many passengers were left stranded, and the only other flight to Istanbul was at 17:30, landing at Sabiha Gokcen Airport. After numerous complaints, the airline promised to bring a plane from Istanbul between 16:30-17:00. During the over 3-hour wait, no refreshments were offered, not even water. When people started to grumble, they offered a chicken wrap, but still no water. We waited at the airport for a total of 7 hours because the plane from Istanbul also arrived 50 minutes late. We finally boarded and landed in Istanbul, but then I discovered my baggage had been tampered with, the lock was broken, and my suitcase was damaged. When I asked why, I was told they could only replace my suitcase with another one, which was of unacceptable quality. I refused the replacement and was then directed to deal with insurance, adding to my frustration. In conclusion, Turkish Airlines claims to be a global company, but in reality, it only brings disappointment and regret. Turkish Airlines is regretful.
